Downtown Walking Tour of Transit & Biking Improvements

FreeRide New Orleans will hold an interactive walking tour of downtown New Orleans to discuss how key Complete Streets treatments could improve transit service AND make New Orleans streets safer and more welcoming for all users.
We’ll discuss how important a dedicated bus lane on O’Keefe could be for West Bank transit users and discuss how street space can be better arranged for all users. We’ll look at some of the big problems for people walking, taking transit, and biking around the temporary downtown transfer center at Duncan Plaza. And we’ll finish up at Basin + Canal – the RTA’s chosen site for a new downtown transfer center – and discuss what’s on the horizon there.
