Candidate Forum on Complete Streets, Transportation & Infrastructure

New Orleans' next City leaders will inherit many current efforts and exciting new opportunities to improve the quality of life and future sustainability of our city. Our Coalition of nearly 40 local organizations is working every day for more equitable use of our streets and public spaces to improve safety and access for people of all ages and abilities who walk, bike, drive and ride transit.

As we recover from the impacts of Hurricane Ida, the importance of both lifting up transportation options which don’t exacerbate climate change and creating more resilient infrastructure is clear. In normal times, whether it’s getting to work, health care, school, the park or any destination, access to safe and affordable transportation options is a critical element to tackling many of the challenges our city and region face today.

Join our Coalition at this community gathering and hear first-hand what our next City Council and Mayor support when it comes to our streets, sidewalks, transportation systems, public spaces, and infrastructure.
