Talking with People IRL About Complete Streets

A powerful tool is back in our arsenal as we work together to make biking, walking, and transit safe and accessible across New Orleans: face-to-face conversations.

Can you join us for a door-to-door canvass this coming Wednesday June 2nd on Gentilly Blvdfrom 4 – 630pm?

Or the following week on Saturday June 12th in the 7th Ward and St. Roch neighborhoods from 9:30am-12:00pm?

The new protected bike lane on North Galvez St

Protected, connected, low-stress bikeways are now being constructed across neighborhoods near downtown New Orleans. Gentilly Blvd is scheduled to receive protected bike lanes running in each direction on the portion from Broad St to Dillard University. One of New Orleans most important connectors, we need your help to make sure residents and local businesses understand the changes underway on this street in their neighborhood!

Will you join us in sharing information about the benefits of this new protected bike lane and the low-stress network to residents in the Fairgrounds area? Your help will multiply our ability to spread the word about the benefits of safe, accessible biking and walking facilities for both residents and businesses.

If you can’t make that canvass, we’ll also be chatting with folks in the 7th Ward and St. Roch areas on Saturday June 12th from 9:30am – 12:00pm. Click here to RSVP.

Looking forward to seeing you IRL at this canvass or at one of our other upcoming events celebrating this giant leap forward for mobility in New Orleans!
